7 Ways To Bless Your Home

Today I wanted to chat about blessing your home! When I say blessing your home I am talking about things you can do that bless the space you’re in, and in doing this you bless the people in it. To bless your home means to be intentional. As you read the list below think of ways you can be intentional in these areas.

1. One obvious way to bless you home is by making sure it clean! Keeping a clean home can be hard work! Scrubbing floors, dusting baseboards and wall decor and getting the little nooks and crannies. These little details of cleanliness go such a long way in making a home feel clean!
2. Another way to bless you home is coziness. the word “cozy” is definitely a subject term, but to me coziness looks like fluffed throw pillows, extra throw blankets, subtle lighting, and soft lines. Creating a cozy space creates a welcoming home!
3. Number three is candles and diffusers. These two things are my favorite things in a home! Candles make your home smell good, look cozy and create nice warm lighting. Diffusers emit a more natural and subtle smell which is easy on the nose.
4. This one may be different, but number four is music! Music is so wonderful and the right kind of music naturally lifts the spirit! Having some nice music on in your home will bless the people in it!
5. Number five is clutter, we all have it and sometimes you can’t seem to get away from it. Clutter creates visual busyness which make your brain feel busy! Limiting or eliminating visual clutter creates a more relaxed environment.
6. This one is fun, it has to do with decor! I love decorating the spaces in my home and what I decorate is important to me because it is stuff we see everyday! I love filling my home with meaningful decor, whether that be family heirlooms or brand spanking new stuff, I make sure to love the message. One of the easiest way to bless you home with decor is choosing decor that has scripture in it!
7. Number seven is the most important one of all. Prayer. Pray for your home! Pray for the people who live there and for the people who visit. Pray that God would use your home however he wills. Pray that God would use your home as a gathering place for His people. Give your home to the Lord and watch Him use it in amazing ways, not only to bless visitors but those who live in it everyday.
