Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

Hi! My name is Cassidy!

I live on the east coast of Florida with my husband Austin and our dog Piper Lynn. We live in old brick house that was built in 1988, and we are making little changes here and there so bring this cozy home back to life.

My husband and I got married in September of 2019 and it has been an wonderful time doing life with him. He’s my best friend, my home, my comfort and my joy.

We got our pup Piper Lynn in August of 2020 and that little pup is totally my sidekick and companion. She follows me everywhere!

My husband and I really love spending time outside. Usually he’s fishing and I’m watching or reading a book. We love to go for drives and look at the old houses in our area. Sometimes we go at night and blast the music through the speakers and dance and sing out the windows. We also have a new thing we love to do, play chess. Kind of random and maybe weird but we love how strategic it is, and we are both very competitive.

I love all things “homemaking”. Design and decor, cook and baking, and yes even cleaning oddly, I can’t function when my home isn’t clean and functional!

I grew up in the same town I live in now, and I even attend the same church I did in high school. I love this small town, it feels like home to me. It’s familiar and comfortable.

I’m a Jesus follower who stands on the bible and the steadfast love of God.

I don’t currently garden but it’s something I really want to get into! The thought of fresh fruits and veggies makes my mouth water! Plus fresh flowers from a cutting garden? Sign me up please! I know it’s hard work but to me, there’s nothing better than working with your hands and then getting to enjoy the fruit of your own labor! How rewarding right?!?!

I love plants, they bring so much life and color to my home! I’m definitely working on my green thumb!

I really just enjoy life in every way. I try to see love and light when it seems as if the world is wrapped in darkness. I try ( and often fail ) to brush off the small stuff. I try to soak up every single moment of joy and happiness, and even those of sorrow. My goal is to try and make life beautiful ( yes I heard that from Studio Mcgee, credit is given where it is due) but to me life is made beautiful in each moment, and its your choice whether you nurture the beauty, or let it die. I do my best to nurture and grow beauty in my life, I hope this blog encourages you to do the same.
